Bio
Hello, I'm Lidia. I am a young and aspiring artist, bodybuilder, and college student. The start of my artistic adventures dates back to the crayon on the walls of my childhood home. As the years passed and I grew older, I took a few art classes at the local mall. Once my family decided to move to Lake Arrowhead there was a dormant period of time for my artwork. I've always been known to draw and make art but I just didn't have the inspiration or means to make anything. Once I became a high school Junior I was finally enrolled in my first art class. This is where I realized how much I loved and needed art. My teacher at the time pushed me and inspired me to create and try new things. After high school, I began working with different styles and mediums of art. I go through phases of painting, to drawing, and now to recycled art. The planet we live is on miraculous. The ocean itself is a whole world of its own. After learning how to scuba dive, surf, and growing up in a mountain community I love our plant. Seeing the world I love, fall, and drown in plastic waste is heartbreaking. As I mentioned I go through phases, and lately I've been finding old, used, and beaten up surfboards and repurposing them. These boards once saw many waves, smiles, and lots of salt. Giving these boards a new and beautiful way to live in our lives has been a learning experience as an artist and lover of the ocean. I get to incorporate the concept of recycling and utilize a tool that many beach and ocean lovers use.
