Island Fever
Being a textile designer has inspired my use of color combinations and patterns applied in my paintings. Island Fever was inspired by one of many Hawaii trips where flowers and plants are gorgeous, the mountains majestic and the Pacific just breathtaking.

Bio
<p>As a Swiss native, she received her textile art degree at the Kunstwerbeschule in Basel, Switzerland. Following a successful career in Europe, she moved to Southern California with her American husband, local award-winning Architect, Kevin Farrell, AIA.</p>
<p>Successful designing for a variety of textile companies and extensive travels to Asia and especially Bali,Indonesia were she worked in developing colorful and original textiles has influenced her passion for all things beautiful,colorful and textiles. Christina continued developing her passion for color, composition, and design all while mentoring young and upcoming designers and artists in the industry.</p>
<p>Living and travelling to many tropical islands has influenced her paintings tremendously. Her love for the ocean and endless skies continue to be her trademark subject. Her colorful and joyful painting style is widely received as uplifting and attracts many buyers . She is an active member of the San Dieguito Art Guild and exhibits regularly at the SDAG gallery and participates in many local art exhibit. Some of her work has been displayed at the local Libraries,Pannikin Coffee shop, California Coast Credit Union Bank and the Solterra Wine bar. Christina is also a participant in the annual Arts Alive Fundraiser for the City of Encinitas. She also participates in the yearly Mother's Day Art Tour by the San Dieguito Art Guild featuring her Bali-inspired home and exhibiting her wonderful art at her Studio in Encinitas.</p>
