I collected fabric on trips to Hawaii along with a beautiful piece of Tapa Cloth. I waited 20 years but knew my inspiration would come. The technique of collage blended my love of textiles with mixed media techniques. Highlighting and shadowing materials such as tulle, lame', silk, organza, satin, shantung and the incorporation of yarns, threads, Angelina and handmade lace added to the depth and dimension. The use of the beading and Tapa Cloth brought the items of this collection together.
