I was at Cardiff Reef, Cardiff State Beach one evening trying to capture the sunset when I noticed an unknown surfer standing on the beach waiting for her companion to come in out of the waves. She was only there a few moments, but in that time I was able to line up a shot of her in silhouette with the sun coming through. To me at least the image is iconic of the female surfer athlete. The image is printed on metal.
